Honoring Three Decades of Supporting Employees, DCI Celebrates Denise Redman’s Retirement

With hearts full of gratitude and appreciation, we wish Employee Relations Specialist Denise Redman all the best as she retires after 31 years of working for Dialysis Clinic, Inc. this month.
“I’ve been blessed, and I am grateful for all the DCI connections that have touched my life over the decades,” Denise said. “I am honored to have been a member of this wonderful organization.”
Originally from East Tennessee, Denise began working at DCI as a receptionist in the corporate office after she and her husband Mark moved to Middle Tennessee in 1993.
Known for her caring heart and desire to help others, Denise transitioned into the DCI Human Resources department as an administrative assistant. She took on more than her departmental responsibilities, and she began learning HR law and processes, specializing in the American Disabilities Act and medical leaves. She officially moved into the role of Employment Relations Specialist in 2009.
Denise has a “big heart and passion for our employees when they or their families are sick,” said DCI Human Resources Director Dan Watson. “She’s very wise with the knowledge she has and knows how to apply it in the right situation.”
She lends a “kind ear to all employees and is very professional, always representing DCI in the best way, even in difficult conversations with employees,” Dan said. “She also gives great advice, especially to employees who are not as senior. She would treat you … and help you as though you were a family member.”
Denise’s calm demeanor and strong listening skills show that she “truly cares, and that’s why she’s been so successful in her role,” said DCI Corporate Office Manager Sondra Payne. “When people are going to her with issues, they know she’s fair. She doesn’t tell you what you want to hear necessarily, she tells you what you need to hear.”
Within the HR department, Denise is known for her smile, her sense of humor, not taking herself very seriously, looking out for others and their families, and treating others’ children as if they were her own.
“As a friend, she’s always someone who will be there for you in good and bad times,” Sondra said. “She’s a friend who’s there for everyone.”
Denise plans to spend more time relaxing with her husband Mark and sheep-a-doodle Dexter, as well as enjoying watersports in Cape Coral, Fla., since their late 2022 move.
“My husband had already retired when we relocated, and I knew it wouldn’t be long until I would be ready to retire and enjoy our new community and all the watersports,” Denise said.
Thank you for compassion and respect shown toward DCI employees and their families, Denise. We wish you much joy and relaxation as you retire!
