We take meaningful opportunities to advance the science of kidney health and explore innovative models of care delivery by partnering with like-minded organizations and associations that share our vision for the future of kidney care.
Partnerships
DCI Partnership Opportunities
We recognize that many providers must develop strategies to maintain and improve the quality and scope of their services while facing increasing fiscal and competitive pressures. DCI partners with hospitals, health systems, and other providers to support a sustainable kidney care program in their community.
Nonprofit Kidney Care Alliance (NKCA)
We are proud to collaborate with other not-for-profit kidney care providers as a member of the Nonprofit Kidney Care Alliance (NKCA). The NKCA collectively serves approximately 22,500 patients at more than 326 facilities in 32 states. In an effort to keep patients off dialysis, members of NKCA collective serve more than 10,000 patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), with the goal of avoiding, or at least delaying, the onset of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and promoting transplantation.
As a group, members of the NKCA share best practices and address current fragmentation in care for our patients to improve the quality of care and address health inequities and disparities. In addition, the Alliance works with policymakers to tackle important issues that affect people living with kidney disease and actively advocates for public policies that improve access to care across the continuum of kidney disease.
CMS Innovation Center
DCI is an active participant in the CMS Innovation Center’s new payment and service-delivery models to improve patient care, lower costs and promote patient-centered practices. Through a partnership with other providers participating in the models, multiple DCI clinics have adopted value-based care best practices and/or are invested in innovative models of care delivery that bring a range of benefits to both providers and their patients.
