This no-salt-added pizza from the American Kidney Fund Kidney Kitchen is the perfect addition to your next pizza night!

Ingredients
    Dough
  • 1 1/4 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • Sauce
  • 3 oz no-salt tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef (browned and drained)
  • 6 oz mozzarella cheese (shredded)

    Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in oil, sugar and enough flour to make a soft dough. Stir 20 strokes.

    Place in a greased bowl, turn dough to moisten all surfaces, cover and let rise in a warm place.

    Preheat oven to 400°F.

    Combine tomato paste, water, garlic powder, oregano, sugar and oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer 5 minutes.

    Grease a 17 x 14-inch baking sheet. Press dough onto sheet, stretching to edges. Cover with sauce. Top with onion, green pepper, beef and cheese.

    Bake 20 to 30 minutes until dough and cheese are golden brown.
