Dialysis Clinic Inc. Unveils Newest Dialysis Center
The public is invited to explore the DCI St. James Open House
The general public is welcome to tour the state-of-the-art facility, enjoy refreshments, and enter to win door prizes. The dialysis care staff will be available to answer questions and provide education about kidney disease.
Construction on the 20-station dialysis facility was completed in February. The hemodialysis schedule is tentatively set for Monday – Saturday from 5am – 5pm with an expectation to adjust in the future as patient needs develop.
“We are delighted to make this new facility available to the residents in Northeast, Louisiana” stated Constance Thomas, DCI Area Operations Director. “We want patients to enjoy the new building with its warm and comfortable atmosphere and the patient-centric amenities.”
DCI is recognized by an independent government report, the United States Renal Data System, for having the lowest patient mortality and hospitalization ratios among national dialysis providers since 2003.
“We have highly experienced staff who will be managing this facility. Our nurse manager, Jennifer Bell, has over 12 years of dialysis experience” stated Thomas. “Our entire team is focused on helping people with kidney disease to live their best life. If you or someone you love has kidney disease, I encourage you to visit our DCI St. James open house, meet our staff, and learn about our approach to kidney disease.”
The new facility offers a flat entrance for easy access to the building, a covered portico, and a bright and airy atmosphere. Each patient station has its own flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi access, and a heated dialysis chair.
DCI is the nation’s largest non-profit dialysis provider with more than 250 clinics in 28 states. Louisiana is home to 15 DCI clinics.
