File Transfer from DCI Labs - The vast majority of lab results in the Electronic Chart are electronically transferred from the DCI laboratories in Nashville and Columbia, MO. The Electronic Chart also provides for additional interfaces to outside labs via an HL-7 interface.
Kinetic Modeling
DARWIN’s Electronic Chart application performs automatic Hemodialysis Kt/V calculations using the Depner 2-BUN method. The application also performs automatic Kinetic Modeling calculation on Peritoneal Dialysis patients.

Risk Management
The Risk Management module enables the organization to monitor incidents at clinics that might involve legal risk, such as medication omissions, equipment malfunctions, and falls. Clinicians can enter occurrences and track them with a variety of reports. The occurrences are also rolled up to the corporate level to enable company wide monitoring.
Quality Management
The DARWIN Applications are used for management of QM data. The data collection, management, and analysis capabilities of the QM program and reports are described further in the Quality Management section of this web site.
