Description
We had our Kidney Awareness day on May 14th. The day before our event the weather forecast began calling for rain. We were hopeful that it would hold out until our event was over. Well it did rain some but our walkers and our workers were not discouraged. We had approx 200 registered walkers of all ages that came out to support our Kidney Awareness day and a lot of them stayed, along with a few dialysis patients, for the information, refreshments and entertainment. We had a few families that came out and walked in memory of their loved ones who had been on dialysis. With it raining, off and on, we put the Blue Grass Music performed by Stillwater under the canopy and they played a number of bluegrass and gospel tunes. They even took a few requests. Then the Good Time Cloggers came out and got everyone involved. Several people had such a good time that they asked when we were going to do this again.
